Our lives flourish when we cherish the bonds of love and friendship. It has never been more important to appreciate the value of one another, and of Mother Nature. Here's to Summer. C

  1. Was this an ad for…Mother Nature??? What did I just watch?

  2. I like Kate but I’m very confused about what these are supposed to be or accomplish.

  3. Something people still love about Princess Diana was that she took on causes that she stuck her neck out on, eg AIDS patients, landmine removal.

What even is the purpose of this video?

  4. Kate….fire whoever came up with the idea for these videos.

  5. It’s like a parody of itself! With very high cost production.

  6. KP staff is only capable of making these glossy videos nothing else. It’s absolutely baffling how mediocre new staff is. Since Christian and Jason left and new communications took over their engagements have become so bland 😩 like the new communication head was a big executive in a media company yet we get things like this.

  7. Is this one of the less public more impactful pieces of work they are doing?

  8. What even is the purpose of these things? Did I miss something here?

Like, if she was kicking off a series of local street summer parties or picnics, or somehow tying the seasons in with some sort of meaningful events or charities that she’s patron of, or even linking back to her early childhood initiatives (which would be predictable, safe, even a little boring, but at least useful and meaningful in *some* way) but these vids don’t seem to have anything to anchor them or make them seem relevant to the work Kate does.

I get that she’s easing her way back into work, and I don’t begrudge her that opportunity, but this feels poorly thought out and really lacklustre.

  9. These very much Aren’t Good, at least not as standalone projects. It would be cool for her to do something more hands on since nature is so important for her, but it feels very disconnected. She’s not even in the video (physically).

I’m hoping that it’s building to something, but most of Kate’s projects fall flat at the starting line, so I’m pretty sure these videos are all we will be getting from this Mother Nature series.

  10. I am kind of befuddled about her continuing interest in promoting her own art projects when they are at such an amateur level and don’t seem to build to anything. She has an amazing platform that she could use to champion undiscovered or underrated artists in these fields. But instead we get Kate’s photography show, Kate’s nature videos, Kate’s royal portraits, even the Christmas piano recitals (the oddest of all to me). I get that one downside of her position is she can’t pursue an art career of her own full time, but she is not any kind of prodigy or star in terms of natural talent. She seems to enjoy it as a hobby like many others (me included) and have a good amateur eye. Nothing wrong with that! But using her platform to promote and publicize these hobbyist efforts as if they are major artistic works feels a little like vanity? Just sort of strange.

  11. I wanna know the names of some of the locations in the video. Those are some beautiful sites especially the one of Dover near the start of the video.

  12. Summer is almost over though…kids will be going back to school soon…

  13. I wish Kate well but this is not it. It feels oddly trad wife meets Midsommar. So many people can barely pay rent/mortgage and groceries are astronomical . So this feels completely out of touch. You can celebrate summer and highlight free green spaces and festivals? Low cost recipes with seasonal ingredients? Low cost summer camps for kids? Literally anything but this navel gazing tosh.

  14. I don’t have anything against Catherine personally, but this really made me laugh.

The big takeaway from this video is basically **”Get outside and enjoy summer”** 🕊️🌿

please be serious 😭😭nobody needs to be told that.

She could have made it so much richer and more useful by talking about:

    – eating more plant-based food to help the environment
    – how we can each do our part to keep nature clean and accessible
    – the link between mental health and time spent outdoors, and the early benefits for child development
    – the power of a morning walk in nature

And that’s just off the top of my head while I’m taking a break from my actual job in tech. KP’s comms team feels wildly unqualified to be putting this out. If this is the content strategy, the Royals are going to lose a lot of relevance in the next decade.

  15. If you had told me this was GPT 10.0 or w/e nee AI that created this video, I would be none the wiser. It’s just so generic and empty. Beautiful landscapes though.

  16. “Congratulations on the purchase of your drone”

  17. Considering half the summer has passed, isn’t this a little late? I guess she will do a fall one in Mid-November. What’s the point of this? It reminds me of a resort advertisement or a Hallmark video card.

  18. The issue is its pointless. Its pretty, but utterly pointless. The UK Natural world is lovely, its also at critical risk due to a multitude of factors, but nothing was addressed in this about that.

A post above said this is part of a series around recovery from cancer but it wasn’t explained at the start. If that was explained I feel like there would be less confusion, but overall, this is such a weird vibe, summer is nearly done and environmental stuff is William’s lane, not hers.

She should have released a video promoting activities and child friendly nature spots or hikes you can take your children on or things you can do at the beach together?

  19. Holy crap, this is such an obvious ripoff of As Ever from earlier this year

  20. They really aren’t trying to combat the vacuous leech allegations…

  21. This is such bland dival. I’ve seen better videos on tik tok

  22. It’s like a tourism ad but with hardly any faces of
people. Makes me wonder if parts of the video were made with AI. I thought they’d show the family hiking or camping just like when Carl Philip and Sofia documented their Swedish Summer during the pandemic. That way, they can promote touristy spots, but it’s really just Kate being a voice actress here.
