That is NOT King William lll,that is James ll of England /VII of Scotland right there. If you Google it,you will see it’s his face in the paintings of the time. He was famous for his hooked nose and scowl,and he was much MUCH thinner in the face that William from contemporary paintings. It also makes a lot more sense for Hume to be with James ll than William lll in a painting. Had to correct this.
Can’t update post but…this is most likely by Derry Artist Joe Campbell. He has others on his website that depict Hume with King James.
