without getting sappy, college honestly was the best decision i ever made – if i had stayed in sixth form, i would’ve completely failed my a-levels and probably have some severe depression while chasing something that wasn’t my dream. seventeen-year-old me shouldn’t have been so stressed 🙂

  1. Massive congratulations! A triple distinction is rather impressive I must say

  2. >Distinction* Distinction* Distinction*

Aa Matthew McConaughey might say: Alright! Alright! Alright!

  3. What a result! Massive congrats.

You must have really put in the work and excelled to get a triple distinction

Now, iron that using a dry tea towel and get it framed!!!!

  4. Congratulations!

FWIW I’m in my 30s and ignored all the doomsaying of my school teachers when they found out I was going to college instead of staying on for sixth form. One head-of-something-or-other (I really don’t know what she did) even wrote a letter home to say she’d discovered I’d applied for my backup option of college but could see I hadn’t yet applied for my first choice of sixth form (Head of being a cheeky bitch?). I have no regrets over that decision, I work in the industry my college course was for, made some great friends and those two years were better than any of the 5 I did at secondary school.

    Now go smash uni! 🙂

  5. Incredible, congratulations! Makes all that hard work feel worthwhile, doesn’t it?!

  6. Check out the big brain on Daniella! I was going to ask you why they call the quarterpounder, the ‘Royale’ in France but I bet you already know 😉

  7. Well done!

I got my A level results today too (Got A*CE & am now going to be studying Human Geography @ Aberystwyth)

  8. Congrats!

I went to school in the only London Borough that didn’t have sixth form, so college always seemed the “normal” way. I loved having the new experience. Staying in the same sixth form as high school would have really held me down.

  9. Congratulations! I’ve also had a lot of happy students today!

  10. Bloody awesome, good on you. Best of luck with whatever comes next.

  11. I got a DDM, a DDD very nice good work. Was good fun college and you are in for a treat at university. I hope you stay on sight and really enjoy the experience you deserve it.

  12. Congratulations! You did it. You’ve got a triple grade distinction 👏🏽

Don’t forget to celebrate tonight or on the weekend in whatever way you choose!

Go and get yourself an ‘ology …. (reference to a late ’80s tv advert).

  13. Good stuff. You must be v proud. My daughter got into her #1 choice and she’s so thrilled. Best of luck with things 👍

  14. Congratulations 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾

  15. Congratulations on getting these results! You worked hard to get these results. Don’t let others ruin your celebrations today. Go out and enjoy the immense feelings of pride and completion. What you have achieved is something to be incredibly proud of.

Now get off the Web and go hang with your friends.

  16. ah congrats!

i did the same thing (tried sixth form then did college and smashed it)

    best decision of my life

  17. Congratulations and good luck with whatever comes next!

  18. Well done. A good subject specialism and Level 3 is a very solid progression building relevant learning, and a good course provider (BTEC) and the college tends to provision students with practical courses.

I think you chose very well, best of luck for the future.

  19. Nice one. I also avoided 6th form and went to a BTEC & apprenticeship, best thing ever.

  20. Far better than I ever achieved at college, congratulations!

  21. Congratulations, sounds like you’ve worked really hard for this. You should be proud!

On a side note: your picture is seriously making my brain hurt, it looks like the top of your certificate goes from being paper to turning into a plastic bag at the bottom where your thumb is holding it??

  22. Congratulations, make sure you celebrate and good luck with your future studies. I’ve just amused myself as I don’t have my glasses on and read it as a Trifle Distinction!
