France had little trouble getting past Spain in a EuroBasket 2025 preparation game, winning 75–67 in Badalona.
With this result, Les Bleus remain unbeaten in friendly matches, having already defeated Montenegro and Great Britain. On the other hand, Spain is still searching for form, following a surprising loss to Portugal and a win over the Czech Republic.
France clearly looked like the better team in this contest. A well-rounded offensive performance gave them a double-digit lead after the opening quarter, and their solid defense helped maintain control, going into halftime up by eight (43–35).
The second half saw a noticeable drop in scoring, as both teams struggled with shooting efficiency—especially France—but Spain lacked the offensive firepower to fully close the gap. Whenever they looked close to a comeback in the final quarter, France responded, led by NBA prospect Zaccharie Risacher, and held firm down the stretch.
