The 2023 As Ever Napa Valley Rosé which is the first venture of the Duchess of Sussex Meghan’s AsEver into the wine business has surprisingly won several blind taste commission by her critics in the media. Described as

“a bespoke blend” with “soft notes of stone fruit, gentle minerality and a lasting finish,”

At least the only bias is what tinkles the taste buds

It is also noticeable that if you have been following As Ever’s Instagram stories @aseverofficial, you would have seen a daily stream of photos and videos of customers receiving orders of their 2023 Napa Valley Rosé. Including those who are lucky to receive gifts.

A gift Inspiration?

There is also good reasons to focus on a successful delivery and the positivity of the reviews posted by those who were lucky enough to buy before it sold out during the launch of the As Ever Napa Valley Rosé on the 1st of July 2025. Data analysis shows that there was a surge of the website traffic through AsEver.com during the second product drop on the 20th of June 2025. Far more than were present when the website launched a few weeks earlier. The interest generated by customers posting photos and videos of their orders certainly helped bring more traffic to the AsEver.com website.

A beach break for family bonding before an important week coming will certainly clear the mind.

Soft notes?

What has inspired the 2024 As Ever Napa Valley Rosé which will be available at wine.asever.com in a few days? In the As Ever newsletter it says

“This affirmed all of the love, time and effort our team, and our founder, poured into curating this blend to evoke the sun drenched spirit of Napa Valley, and the breathtaking tenor of the California Coast.”

“It marries the same harmony of notes from our first blend and creates an elegant medley of delicate yet memorable flavor.”

Maybe there has been a shift in strategy as the British media wonders where the Duchess of Sussex Meghan has been and in their own words missing from social media in the past three weeks. The AsEver newsletter is now signed by the “AsEver Team” rather than the female founder herself.

Looking back in 2024 when As Ever formerly known as American Riviera Orchard (ARO) was founded, there were difficulties with obtaining a trademark from United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO). An issue which still has repercussions today when you can allegedly open a shop on Shopify with a trademark you do not own. The onus is then left to the owners of the trademark to prove their legal right of ownership for Shopify to enforce a Take Down notice which I reported for an alleged trademark infringement.

Who owns ARO on Shopify?

The Duchess of Sussex Meghan has certainly embarked on an interesting business venture with all the pitfalls of a startup company. These coming days, the AsEver team and her female founder will probably look back at past struggles and inspiration which has led to this moment.

Blind taste?

Hundreds of thousands of words have been written about the Duchess of Sussex Meghan’s love of wine which gave her the inspiration for her now defunct website theTig.

Inspired by her favorite Italian wine, Tignanello produced with a selection of Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc.

If the 2023 As Ever Napa Valley Rosé surprised some of the Duchess of Sussex Meghan’ s critics maybe the 2024 release has a few surprises as the date seems to appear significant for the As Ever female founder. The year it all started for her and the AsEver Team.

For the Duchess of Sussex Meghan’s fans and wine lovers who maybe wishing the AsEver female founder a happy birthday on the 4th of August 2025, they will probably hope to taste some of her inspiration in the 2024 As Ever Napa Valley Rosé. Cheers!
