President Donald Trump has said that he and Russian President Vladimir Putin “made some progress” and “great progress” in their bilateral meeting.

However, he added, “there is no deal until there is a deal,” CNN reports, Gazeta Express reports.

“I’ll call NATO in a little bit. I’ll call various people that I think are appropriate. And, of course, I’ll call President [Volodymyr] Zelensky and tell him about today’s meeting. Ultimately, it’s up to them,” Trump said.

“We had an extremely productive meeting and a lot of points were agreed upon,” but Trump said, “We didn’t get there, but we have a very good chance of getting there.”

Trump and Putin did not take questions at the press conference following their statements.

President Putin made no comments and spoke for about eight minutes. In comparison, Trump, who is not particularly short, spoke for only about three minutes.
