The Green Party have pulled off a shock result by toppling Labour in a Cardiff Council by-election. The Green Party has its first councillor in Cardiff after Matt Youde beat the Labour candidate by 44 votes in the Grangetown ward election held on Thursday, August 14.

  3. With the appalling level of voter turnout this isn’t a win for anyone, just shows the level of political apathy that everyone now has.

  7. Why no mention of greens in the headline? Whenever reform does anything they plaster free publicity everywhere.
