I have been called just some minutes ago.
Initially from a number 077… (first signal of fraud) stating o will be called by PostFinance because a doubtful payment on my account.
They called later showing a number same as the PostFinance hotline (second signal of fraud). I just don’t know how they can show a different number.
They continued asking me questions about my account, payments and so on.
I asked them to certify their identity and he responded me (I’m XY from PostFinance).
After a while I just hang on. Done with these mother****ers.
I called immediately PF and they stated there is no movement on my accounts. They asked me for verification over the PF app (the correct way).
I’m so mad we cannot do anything against those bastard.
Hope this post helps! Stay safe!

It’s called number spoofing or caller ID spoofing. It’s been a problem for a long long time, like bascially it’s an in-built error into how phone systems work.
Maybe when phone calls exclusively or mostly take place as VOIP, telecom companies may be able to patch this security gap, bu we are quite not there yet.

Simply never, ever, give _any_ personal detail over the phone, email or websites you’re not sure are safe. It should be common sense, just like you wouldn’t hand your ID to a random person on the streets that is claiming to be police, why would you give your password to a random person on the phone who’s claiming to be from the bank?
Just don‘t pick up any call from an unknown number. If its important you will get a combox message. Otherwise you can check the number and block it. 90% of calls are from not trustworthy numbers, call centers, fraudster etc.
Answering your phone in Switzerland is a mistake.
