Gary was a brilliant comedian on the Scottish circuit, well respected by his fellow comics, something that’s clear from the many tributes on social media. I knew him through my stepdad, who gigged with him often, and he was a lovely big guy who’ll be deeply missed ❤️. My thoughts are with his family and everyone who knew him.

  3. I’m really gutted about this. I’ve never not liked his stand up. I was sitting in Glasgow airport once with a drink and he walked by as he was flying out to Australia for a festival. I’d had too many beers so I shouted out his name and not only did he come over and say hello, we sat and drank for the next few hours whilst we waited on our flights.

    Lovely guy and great comic. Such a loss.

  4. Great comic and I’ll never forget his bit about turning up to the sex party with pringles (because who doesn’t like pringles?).

    Absolutely pished myself. Which is about as good a tribute as there can be for a man in his profession.

  5. I saw him at the MBD comedy night once at the King’s and he had me pissing with laughter. RIP
