Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been given some crucial advice on how to avoid future career disasters.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have tried numerous business endeavors following their explosive exit from the royal family in 2020. These include Netflix productions, publishing deals, podcast hosting and most recently, Meghan’s lifestyle brand, As Ever.
Meanwhile, Harry and Meghan’s public standing has plummeted dramatically, with latest YouGov surveys ranking them as the most unpopular royals behind Prince Andrew.
A public relations expert has now shared her perspective on what the Sussex duo must do for their initiatives to connect with audiences.
Renae Smith, founder of PR agency The Atticism, told The Express, “If they want to avoid future flops, they need to get out of their bubble. Right now, their projects feel like they’re made for fans only.
Nevertheless, Smith emphasized that an “influencer approach” suits the Duchess better, as the expert claimed Meghan might find it challenging to completely engage with humanitarian or charitable initiatives, unlike her husband.
She elaborated, “Honestly, though, I think short-form influencer-style social media content is a better fit for Meghan than anything real or in depth (eg TV, humanitarian, causes, podcasts etc).
“And I think Harry would be better off continuing his work quietly and away from the cameras and showing his authentic side as I think he’s able to show a more authentic side that the public believes.”
