  1. Don’t you love it when our defence secretary takes the opportunity of America and Russia having peace negotiations over the Ukrainian war to talk about Reform?.

Edit. The sheer compulsion to defend a man doing a terrible job, is truly a UK Reddit moment.

  2. He’s not wrong. Farage does love Putin and Trump, which doesn’t say much for his character.

  3. Unfortunately the reform lot don’t really care because…illegal immigrants

  4. Maybe he should apologise for not turning up to Clacton

  5. Russia was all over the LeaveEU campaign and Nigel was frequently on Russia Today promoting pro-Kremlin talking points.
I’m sure it was all above board.

  6. He is a bit, and it’s by far the most repugnant thing about reform

  7. Zelensky is like Viserys the beggar king, he can only fight this war with help from other nations. In order to keep his people safe and minimise loss of life he should make a deal and lose a bit of land. Peace and loss of land is better than war and death.

  8. Well he and reform and brexit are all funded by russia so of course he is. I find it hilarious reform supporters claim to be patriots yet are happy to bend over and take it up the ass from russia . How is that patriotic?

  9. I mean America knew what Trump was before the droves of dribbling idiots voted him in again. I have little faith in our dribbling idiots to be any better.

  10. Farage would take it up the arse from Putin if he was instructed to

  11. They’re all putin apologists, all of them have done fuck all to oppose him.

  12. A large chunk of Brits: “And what? Thats how we like it. Strong men”.

  13. That frog-eyed C*NT needs to be treated like Mussolini

  14. That’s the side of politics that he is on. Why is this even a headline. It goes without saying.

  15. our arms industry is vital to our economy

we don’t need peace or positive relations with russia, they must be punished for eternity and we need to be constantly at a state of fear and war. anyone that seeks de-escalation is a threat and must continue to be smeared as a putin apologist.

all of the russian funding stories from the likes of the guardian aren’t biased in any way, the underlying sources are extremely solid and have never been debunked.

we need to silence *anyone* that steps out of line, period.

  16. You get a really good perspective on the emotional maturity of the average reddit user here:

“Farage would take it up the bum” from Trump/Putin and other derivatives of Farage is gay for Putin…
    Devastating stuff, lads.

I don’t like Farage, but have you lot considered not sounding like a 10-year old when discussing a politician? It might lead more credence to what you say.

  17. I don’t get this schmoozing with a war criminal such as Putin. What is in it for our Nige? Do politicians just not have any dignity and self-respect? How do they live the rest of their lives knowing they’re a stooge for a propped up outcast nation?

  18. Not wrong.

Of course Starmer is a Netenyahu apologist. It’s cunts all the way down.

  19. Not wrong, but the governmenr started crying wolf with the “anyone who is against the OSA suports Jimmy Saville” routine, so I’m not going to listen to any statement from them saying “<political opponent> supports <bad person>” from now on.

  20. The fact is you cannot admire or praise Putin and his regime without inherently being against Britain. This is a regime in Moscow which is regularly threatening to nuke the UK and offering any support for them is legitimising their goal of destroying us

  21. As much as I intensely dislike Farage, this kind of rhetoric is not helpful and is only going to gain Reform greater support.

The only evidence they seem to have is that Farage said “Ukraine cannot win this war” which unfortunate and sad as it is, is quite clearly true given the contents of a popular TV show called “the news”.

Farage is also admittedly right about this “on multiple occasions I’ve stood in the House of Commons, I’ve supported him in what he’s doing with regard to Ukraine.

“Indeed, I’ve personally urged the government to go somewhat further and to use the frozen Russian assets in our central bank.”

EVERY major politician has somehow supported Russia at some point. Boris was close with Putin, he put a literal Russian oligarch in the Lords, we did lots of business with Russia, we (Europe collectively) have given Russia more money for oil and gas than we’ve given Ukraine in support since the war started.

The only major politician who seems largely innocent in this over the past 10 years or so, is Corbyn, who gets the biggest stick for being a “Putin apologist” because he said we should probably confirm Russia was responsible for the novichock poisoning before openly accusing them and risking a diplomatic incident (a sensible idea) and said that if we just funnel arms into Ukraine and make no attempt at dialogue, the war will drag on for years and thousands of innocent people will die, which is *exactly* what has happened.
