  5. Putin, largely ostracized from global politics over the Russian invasion of Ukraine, wanted to be seen being greeted by the American leader and courted by Trump for what he can offer. He got exactly what he wanted simply by this being held. Trump, on the other hand, needed concessions from Putin when he had no leverage. To quote Trump himself, “you don’t have the cards.”

    Putin has no interest in peace with Ukraine. He’s seeking a victory and land. At most, he might be willing to take what he’s gained to date and call it a day if there are other benefits to Russia, which Europe and the rest of the non-US world have no interest in offering as Russia isn’t just a threat to Ukraine, but to Europe and the planet. But Donald thinks he alone can fix things. So what comes from this – Putin says let’s meet again, this time in Moscow. So he can offer nothing, parade around his toy-boy, and gain credibility where it matters to Putin – inside Russia.

    Russia had a sleeper agent with no morals that could become president, Trump. His fall was inevitable, and will be calculated to make as much chaos as possible if you do it on Russia and China’s terms, to delay any return in power once Trump is gone they’re probably going to want to make Trump do something big and long-lasting and I don’t think it’d be something silly like a war.
