Virgin Active says changing rooms ‘designated by biological sex’

1. Transgender Men always get fucked in this stupid bullshit. Would be very interested to know what the response from Virgin Active would be on the scenario of a bearded bloke with a vagina changing next to women. Or is that different somehow?

2. That’s going to go well when a bearded, muscled, boobless female-to-male transgender man walks into the women’s changing rooms. 

3. Seems like they’re implementing a policy which best suits the needs of the majority of their customer base, whilst (per their quote below) implementing facilities to suit the needs of others too to make sure nobody is left out. Surely no issue here?

4. Are they going to hire JK Rowling to personally examine everyone’s bodies on arrival?

5. What *is* the answer for single-sex areas, though? Or do we just have to transition to a world where everyone has their own private changing/shower area and male/female splits are a thing of the past?

6. I’m glad I’m not a masculine looking non-trans woman. Must be fun. 

7. Just as well gym staff are all sane and reasonable people who never ever get odd on the tiny bit of power they have, otherwise you could easily manage scenarios where they start demanding to people junk.

8. I hate this timeline. Can we go back to when no one cared which bathroom trans people used??

   Like what are you all doing by sinks that requires that only people with the ‘right’ set of sexual organs are around??
