  7. Every government and authority slowly moves towards corruption and dictatorship. The only difference is the pace at which they implement change.

  8. Chat control is probably lobbied by Heritage Foundation, they are turning the US into a surveillance state like China, and Chat Control would let the same system be easily deployed in Europe.

  11. So to get the 0.0…..1% of relevant messages they want to scan through all of them…? Risking getting 1000 false positives each day..? Have they smoked some bad weed..? Are they even sure that pedophiles will even use whatsapp? and not … signal, matrix or write a new app..? That’s a massive overreach by any measure. And it comes with the lamest of all fascist arguments to sell to “somewhat” rational people: “think of the [jobs/kids]” … especially with the right on the rise…

    Is she even popular in Denmark..? Getting stong Alice Weidel vibes…

    Is there no better approach..? like doing good old research? Undercover work. Hints from the population, from teachers. Something where the police at least have a lead? Normally such measures need approval from a judge.

    If you propose or even defend such a thing, think about the possibility… rather certainty that there will be a more corrupt government than yours at some point in history, and what they could do with it.

    Proposal doesnt mention the most if not all of the things that are in this text.

    So I always wonder, why are text and posts like this made? Because someone is too lazy to actually check the latest proposal, or someone is pushing this “catastrophic” (and lying) narative because it is in some company interest?

    If all of this was true, I would be fully against it.

    However, as a father, Im even against this watered down proposal, because is so watered down that pedos can do with our kids whatever tf they want.

    Did you know that by the actuall proposal I can send full fledged video showing me “doing stuff” to your 13yo daughter to my similary monsterous friend … And AI will know, but wont be able to report after 1st flag? Me and friend “can enjoy” video for years without anything happening to us.

    That’s how fcking much this thing is watered down.

    Textual descriptions? Audio? Yeah, we can share that till the end of time, no checks whatsoever.

    Remember that if, God forbid, some kid you know ends up being unlucky one.

  18. I dont see it mentioned anywhere. But if democracy should protect itself, it has to stop bots / propaganda somehow. Allowing only real people to use social media actually makes sense. And yeah its inconvinient, but if it makes internet more human place again i am for it. And ask yourself what parties are losing most if bots and propaganda is controlled

  19. Dane here. Honestly, I still feel like I hit the jackpot being born in Denmark. But man, our politicians have gone completely off the rails. Crime is at a historic low, basically everyone’s employed, Danish companies are raking in profits, and the state coffers are overflowing. On top of that, we’ve got almost no national debt.

    And yet, somehow, the big political crusade is… more control, less freedom — all wrapped up in the classic “it’s for the children” excuse.

    Denmark is literally one of the last countries on earth that needs mass surveillance of its citizens, and yet here we are. The politicians have completely lost touch with reality and the people. It’s wild.

  23. I can’t imagine anyone but special interest groups wanting the government to monitor every aspects of their daily and communications, from left to right.

    And somehow, it’s going to be pushed through regardless. If not this year, it will be the next. If not the next year, they’ll pin in to some obscure EU treaty that gets ratified with something else in the background, and apparently nobody can do a thing against.
