  1. Russia provided a written agreement to not invade when they signed the budapest memorandum. Why would this be any different?

    Also, Putin said he wouldn’t hold any land he took so another lie.

    Plus there is the reparations, war crimes, threats to the world and more.

    The west needs to tell Russia to fuck off

  8. Western boots must be on the ground and closed/patrolled airspace to force Russia to any kind of deal in Ukraines favor.

    Their negotitation chip value is somewhat dimished …

    I’m glad Europe is not.

    Politics sucks even when everyone agrees on the facts, but having someone like Trump in the mix makes it almost unworkable.

  13. Europe needs to pull their fucking finger out and launch a combined sanctions and seizure of Russia’s grey (oil carrying) ships and shut their economy down. Or better yet, Europe can do a 4-day air strike package and hit all of the Russian command and control centres in eastern Ukraine and bring Russia to the table. Don’t forget, China is driving this with the hope they can invade Taiwan by 2027, and Ukraine is the test for their plans.

  15. So, its wordplay on “again”? A frozen battle line means the invasion is ‘paused’ so you cant invade again if you are still invading.

  24. I could see a cessation of hostilities, a recognition of current lines, and a complete forfeiture of frozen assets to rebuild Ukraine, with an additional “tax” on all Russia fuel sales to help rebuild.

    Combine with peace keeping un forces, or eu nations and a demilitarized zone.

    It’s not great, but ending this never was going to be.

  27. Paper means nothing. A buffer zone, mine fields, Europe’s largest standing army, international peace keeping troops in Ukraine. That is a language Putin would understand.
