CM to visit Japan & S Korea, focus on investment & industrial growth

Raipur: Chief minister Vishnu Deo Sai will embark on his first foreign tour as head of the state from Aug 21 to 31, with visits planned to Japan and South Korea. The 10-day tour aims to attract investment, boost industrial growth, and explore new opportunities in the infrastructure sector.According to officials from chief minister’s secretariat, Sai will be accompanied by chief secretary Amitabh Jain, principal secretary Subodh Singh, and industries secretary Rajat Kumar. CM will attend a series of meetings before flying to Japan later Aug 21 evening. In Japan, his schedule will include series of interactions with industrialists, investors, and entrepreneurs connected with infrastructure development.Officials said that discussions will focus on investment promotion, technology collaboration, and exploring new models of industrial growth, with a special emphasis on electronics, automobiles, food processing, and renewable energy.Following the Japan leg, the delegation will travel to South Korea, where the agenda includes high-level meetings on industrial partnerships, technology transfer, and logistics improvement. Officials believe that closer cooperation with South Korea could open doors to smart manufacturing and advanced infrastructure development in Chhattisgarh.”This visit is expected to strengthen the prospects of investment agreements that could pave the way for major projects in the coming years,” an official said.Investment flow into Chhattisgarh so far under the new industrial policy, the power sector has attracted investment proposals worth over Rs 3 lakh crore.
