Lithuania calls on EU for new sanctions against Russia

Lithuanian Foreign Minister Kęstutis Budrys has called on the EU to increase pressure on Russia and support for Ukraine amid ongoing aggression.

“Just and lasting peace in Ukraine is a top priority,”  Budrys wrote on X, per Caliber.Az.

“We must stick to what works: prepare the 19th EU sanctions package, keep pressuring Russia, increase military support to Ukraine and speed up Ukraine’s EU path, and above all – defend the principles of international law.  Transatlantic unity remains crucially important,” he added.
