  2. Really? Not only is it a story about sex crazed “transvestites” which includes rape and sexual coercion like mad. But hasn’t it’s creator been an active transphobe for years? (Probably actively transphobic while making this movie).

    I know back in 1975 the dearth for anything LGBT specially T was utter starvation, but it’s been 50 years of much better content and reflection, and an unhealthy attachment to a movie for whom hating trans people is in its thesis statement should’ve really been addressed by now.

    I don’t disagree it’s had an impact, but it’s been a negative impact.
