All these cities are located in Ukraine’s Donetsk and Luhansk regions, the so-called Donbas. All these cities have been already reduced to ashes by the Russian army.

  1. All these cities were once full of Ukrainians – children, families. Ukrainians whom Russian war criminals have either killed, captured, forcibly transferred, or driven from their homes under relentless attacks – now cynically calling a “brotherly nation”.

Having left nothing but ruins behind, Putin still seeks to seize and destroy more, to turn new cities into the same lifeless wasteland. Russia’s war is not just against Ukraine’s territory – it is against the very right of Ukrainians to exist.

The U.S., European and other partners have the strength to make Russia stop. Strong, coordinated actions grounded in justice, sovereignty, and Ukraine’s territorial integrity will bring a just and lasting peace.

  2. Russia wants these places for one reason. To make a narrower front line, and fortify it.

  3. Putin and his minions will say that this is all because of NATO. And that they are protecting the russian minority in Ukraine.

Nice way to protect something that doesn’t need protecting…

  4. That’s the crazy part. If…if russia takes over these places. All money is going to building another Berlin wall that is thousands of times larger. But where is that money coming from.

Bottom line, russia cannot rebuild cities it bombed into the ground that had millions of inhabitants. Who would even show up to rebuild? North Koreans?

  5. Damn that’s depressing for a summer Sunday morning, but I guess I shouldn’t turn my head. Thank you united24media, your work is vital and you do it very well x

  6. “Every US president is a war criminal as well.”

I’m getting so tired of all these false equivalences being drawn, they just incapacitate the west.

  7. It will take decades and 100s of billions to fix, honestly I dunno why Putin wants it

  8. It is the duty of every civilized person to do anything they can to stop this, and make sure the people who did it *can’t* keep doing it

Maybe you think “these are just buildings, as long as the people can evacuate it’s not so bad” (IF they can evacuate – early in the war there often wasn’t time). That’s not all though

Imagine a village. Everyone knows everyone, old folks tell stories to the kids…suddenly everyone has to go, but they don’t just all go to the same place and rebuild the same village together somewhere in Western Ukraine. In practice, they have to split up, maybe some go to relatives, some don’t have anywhere in particular to go to. So that community is pretty much destroyed even if the people survive. Memories, stories, way of life… gone

That is a type of extermination, not of the DNA but of the culture. Ethnocide

  9. There was this video a while back where a Russian military vehicle runs over a pedestrian in an occupied city, not on the front lines or in an active battle area, just normal ‘ruski mir’ city, and nobody reacts. Nobody helps the person, yells, anything. Must be so soul crushing to live there…

  10. How long must this nightmare go on? When will our western chickenshit leaders do something to make it stop and punish the fucking animals who did this. It’s a fucking disgrace. Stay strong Ukraine and never give up. Shitty unfair fucking world we live in.

    ❤️🇺🇦

  11. Russia is a pirate country. It can only take what others have and not build lasting economic growth for its people.
