CULLMAN, Ala. (WBRC) – A woman has turned herself in after arrest warrants were issued for her by the Cullman Police Department.
According to the Cullman Police, on Tuesday, Aug. 5, they were told about a series of forged prescriptions which had been written and filled at a number of local pharmacies. These prescriptions were reportedly used to obtain a range of medications, including controlled narcotics.
Police say a criminal investigation was immediately launched. From the investigation, they say investigators obtained a warrant to search Infusion Wellness and Spa, the business associated with the forged prescriptions.
According to police, they searched the business on Monday, Aug. 11, and obtained key evidence.
Arrest warrants were issued from the investigation on Friday, Aug. 15 for Whitney LeAnn Cheatham, 33, of Cullman. Cheatham is listed as the owner of the spa on their website.
Police say that Cheatham turned herself in on Saturday, Aug. 16 around 10:15 a.m.
According to authorities, Cheatham is facing 25 charges under Alabama law.
