1. It should be noted that this is not a general strike because the Federation of Trade Unions (Histadrut) declined to call one because they didn’t want to politicize the issue. The Histadrut are typically an anti-Bibi but soft Likud organization, so a general strike would’ve gone straight to the courts which would just enrage both sides.

   The last political general strike was called in combination with the Industrial and Business Council during 2023 when Gallant was fired and then unfired.
