Is it possible that we can use technology to determine federal and state voting districts by using artificial intelligence? The only criteria that AI would use are: 1) the number of registered voters in a zip code, irrespective of party registration; 2) each district must have contiguous zip codes; and 3) each district must not be more or less than X% of the average district size in that state.

Will there still be some districts that AI has created that will be mostly Democratic (cities) or Republican (rural)? Yes, however, the districts will be determined arbitrarily, not by one party or a “nonpartisan” group of individuals.

Using AI, a neutral method, to determine voting districts may not be embraced by the two major political parties; however, this application of AI might be the best solution to determine voting districts for our country.
