  1. SS: Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi will visit India from Monday to Wednesday (Aug 18–20, 2025) for talks on the disputed Himalayan border, China’s foreign ministry said. This is only the second such meeting since the deadly 2020 border clash.

    Relations have been improving since October 2024, when both sides agreed on patrolling arrangements that eased a five-year standoff affecting trade, investment, and air travel.

    Later this month, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will travel to China for the first time in seven years to attend the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) summit, where he is expected to meet President Xi Jinping.
