Ruzie tussen Antwerps gemeenteraadslid Joël Gemeiner (N-VA) en jonge TikTokker die pro-Israëlische stickers verwijdert, gaat viraal: “Ik krijg doodsbedreigingen”

6. Headlining it as “ruzie” and then highlighting the death threats is not really truthful. The tiktok guy was physically assaulted by this asshole… And then the asshole claimed “I didn’t do anything, and besides the other guy started it!”, which makes sense as a pro-isral guy: “my violence is justified no matter why I choose to do so, and I didn’t do anything!”. The actual video footage of him attacking are not relevant of course….

   I don’t approve of death threats, but I haven’t seen any proof of that either, lying to play the victim is also straight out of the israeli playbook.

7. Vorige week ook nog zo’n sticker verwijderd. Ze weghalen is evenzeer een vorm van meningsuiting als ze opplakken, leek me.

8. In Antwerpen zal het hem misschien zelfs een hogere plaats op de lijst opleveren. Anderzijds is het aan de hand van deze beelden behalve wat geduw niet echt mogelijk om een perfect beeld en tijdlijn te krijgen van de gebeurtenissen. Hoe hij denkt is in ieder geval duidelijk:

   >”Ik keur niet goed wat het Israëlische leger doet, maar wat er op 7 oktober is gebeurd, valt ook absoluut niet goed te praten. Dat blijft veel te hard onderbelicht”

   Tja, onderbelicht… De eerste weken en maanden na de gebeurtenissen zeker niet, maar hoe jammer het ook is, als je als reactie daarop 50000+ Gazaanse burgers de dood injaagt (en BLIJFT injagen) en ze niet als slachtoffers wilt zien van zowel Hamas als Israël maar als mededaders, dan help je mee het slachtofferschap van deze 1200 mensen naar de achtergrond te brengen bij veel mensen.

9. There’s really no excuse anymore to support this genocide. The proof of the ongoing crime is overwhelming, the scale is immense. Any counterargument (hamas, right to defend, hostages, whatever) is rendered irrelevant by the scale and horror of the ongoing genocide. And many jews and/or israelis ARE denouncing it. I see how that takes courage when you are in israel, but in this country? No excuse whatesoever exists, these people are deluding themselves to a criminal degree.
