Last weekend, an extended one due to the public holiday on Friday, saw more than 1,062,000 vehicles travel on motorways managed by HAC (Croatian Motorways), with toll revenues reaching an impressive €7.9 million between Friday and Sunday.
Compared with the same weekend last year, traffic was down by 2 percent, while toll revenues fell by 3 percent.
Despite the slight dip during the busy August weekend, overall traffic this year remains on the rise. From January to mid-August 2025, HAC motorways have recorded 50.78 million vehicles, representing a healthy 4 percent increase compared with the same period in 2024.
The figures reflect the heavy flow of summer tourism, while also highlighting the importance of Croatia’s motorway network as a backbone of seasonal travel.
