BBC Ozzy Osbourne documentary mysteriously pulled hours before airing

2. False alarm. He wasn’t dead. He was just off his nut again. Naughty Ozzy!

3. Sounds to me like they said something about him that wouldn’t go down well now that he’s passed

4. Let’s hope it’s something trivial – like they included some music but didn’t get clearance for the rights.

5. I’m assuming that signing off of the doc was somehow invalidated by his death and has to be revalidated by his executor or management team. It may be that they’d hoped to have done it in time for air date or someone in legal realised this at the final hour and told them to delay release.

6. Maybe it was a character assassination doc. 40 odd years ago, the bbc did a documentary about heavy metal, which was widely regarded as utter crap.

7. I know he was a bit of a dick, but please let this be music rights related or some sort of estate/admin thing, and not something really bad

9. I was looking at the been website earlier on today, it mentioned tonights documentary, it was a behind the scenes thing about his last concert, I was going to watch it. Not sure why they’ve pulled it if that’s all it was about.

10. Is it anything to do with him organising the most profitable charity gig of all time, £180million etc – then Sharon being like “ what charity gig?”

Given filming must have started well before his death, and assuming that they probably didn’t know the date of his death in advance, i suspect his death and funeral, plus any subsequent legal wrangling (including the fact that Ozzy no longer has final say on any of the content) may have played a part. So let’s not assume anything scandalous at this point. Let’s have some respect, atleast until we know otherwise.

17. I don’t understand how some of the comments are suggesting ozzy was sleeping with underage girls from this post. How do you draw that connection?

18. the lawyers could have looked at it and found some possbile defamation against someone still living?
