When an unknown person calls you in Russia, saying that he wants to anonymously poll support for the war, I think quite a few will, just in case, say they support.
I’d prefer to put it another way: A quarter of Russians don’t support war despite it being illegal. Sounds better?
I wonder how of that is “despite” and not “due to”.
When your country is at war, you must put aside your differences and unite. Nothing surprising.
Is that supposed to be a surpsise? Back in 2003 79% of Americans thought the Iraq war was justified. It has nothing to do with nationality, just propaganda.
Reportedly 90% of Romanians supported Ceaușescu in November ’89. You can’t have sociology in dictatorships.
