What the hell did I just witness? I was chilling in my garden reading a book and saw this blue/purple blob moving north or north west, around 10.30pm. There was no sound that I could hear from here.
I couldn't see the line of light with my eyes, only after taking the photos.

I'm in Peterborough and this looked to be heading towards Grantham or Nottingham.

I've never seen anything like it.

  1. The Avengers are fighting Doctor Doom again. I’ve written to my MP about it but the noisy bastards won’t stop arsing about with the fabric of the universe at all hours of the night

  2. You can clearly see it is a light being aimed at the sky. Maybe a club, an event or something.

  3. Are you talking about the purple searchlight pointed at the clouds?

  4. Grantham (or Nottingham) will certainly be taking a pasting tonight

  5. Following the line of the train track?
Hmm, no idea what it could be

  6. Also live in Peterborough and didn’t see this. Looks like it’s coming from the ground upwards though.

  7. it’s somebody pointing a very bright light at the sky. Why? Don’t know.

  8. It’s Darragh MacAnthony on his way to Peterborough United to either hire or fire Darren Ferguson

  9. This is a comment from another post about this.

It comes from a train that runs typically at night for track maintenance. It’s called the New Measuring Train or NMT. It rolls along recently electrified lines and shines a blue light up to inspect the overhead wires and check everything is in working order.

So yeah, no aliens , sorry xd

So for those downvoting you because you said it was moving, suck it.

  10. Project BlueBeam! The firmament is glitching! Other conspiracy theories!

  11. Project blue beam, you’re having the alien invasion a few streets over

  12. That’ll be the Network Rail measurement train. It always freaks people out. 😂

  13. looks like one of those lights used on railways or some kind of rave

  14. If you’ve played World of Warcraft recently, then you know what’s coming
