A delegation from Belarus’ Interior Ministry, led by Interior Minister Ivan Kubrakov, is currently on an official visit to the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, sb.by reports with reference to the country’s internal affairs department



Representatives from the police department reportedly participated in a ceremonial event marking the 80th anniversary of Vietnam People’s Public Security Traditional Day and the 20th anniversary of the National Day for National Security Protection. The occasion honoured the bravery and commitment of generations of personnel dedicated to maintaining law and order and ensuring citizens’ safety.



The General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, To Lam, warmly received the foreign delegations. Vietnam’s Minister of Public Security, Army General Luong Tam Quang, expressed gratitude to his Belarusian counterparts for their visit and conveyed confidence in further strengthening co-operation in combating crime.


“Ivan Kubrakov held discussions with heads of internal affairs and public security agencies. The parties shared experiences and explored future co-operation opportunities in public safety, fighting organised crime, addressing cyber threats, and other pressing challenges,” Belarus’ Interior Ministry noted.



A separate significant event was a meeting with Ahmed Nasser Al Raisi, the President of the International Criminal Police Organisation (Interpol). Belarus’ Interior Ministry reported that the leaders discussed crucial aspects of international co-operation against transnational crime, enhancing communication channels between law enforcement agencies, and prospects for joint initiatives targeting organised crime.
