Load of nonsense. Once Germany and the eu stop funding russia’s war in Ukraine by buying their oil and gas.lets see those figures again.
The Tory ministers will have to learn a new script now.
> Ukraine war hits global economy
Are we still trotting out this ludicrous scapegoat to cover for Corporate avarice? Record profits but the ‘economy’ is fucked, tell us another one, and make it believable this time.
Damn Ukrainian war mis-spending government money on bunk contracts with companies owned by it’s mates.
I really wish the Ukranian war would fight to close loopholes utilised by corporations and the ultra rich to reduce their taxes and that the Ukranian war would help ease the cost of living by re-assessing energy caps.
If only the Ukranian war hadn’t planned a birthday party for Boris, amongst other parties, during lockdown.
I see the BBC is still holding strong on never using the “B” word when it comes to the UK being economically challenged.
Slowest in G7 and slowest in G20 aside from Russia. Why would the UK be so badly affected by these global issues I wonder 🤔
lmao, so nothing at all to do with Brexit then?
Are we now going to pretend our growth was good before Russia invaded Ukraine?
Why stop there, Tory run BBC?
“UK set for slowest growth in G7 as Elon Musk attempts to buy Twitter”
Nothing to do with B… with B… Nothing to do with B… damn! I can’t say it.
Highest inflation in all of G7. Lmao this country fucking sucks. We won’t be a superpower in the next 10 years.
Remember when they told you to possibly sacrifice your life for “The Economy” in the early stages of the pandemic? I do.
Don’t worry Boris will just tell us we’ve got the fastest growth and the mob will inexplicably stomach it… The truth is an abstract concept to the Tory’s
A shiiit lying government and Brexit didn’t help much either
I love reddit, we completely ignore the article stating we were the fastest growing and focus purely on speculation that we may drop to the bottom of the pile (and then put this purely down to brexit, which was clearly ignored while we were doing better).
There have been queues in Kent for months now and the war in Ukraine has had nothing to do with that. The war in Ukraine will make things worse but we should not ignore the will of the people and we should use this as a chance to talk about Brexit. Let those who voted for it tell us why this is a good thing and why the experts they derided were wrong to suggest Brexit would lead to a recession.
Didn’t boris today state we’re the fastest growing nation in the G7?
But the pound has been gaining on the euro since 2020.
Brexiteer Broadcasting Corporation looking to blame anything other than our nations new religion, and it’s ham-faced cultists.
Brexit and corporate greed. Pitch fork day can’t come soon enough
Having an incompetent Prime Minister and a Cabinet chosen for supporting him rather than any extraordinary skills in their chosen field being tasked with leaving the EU which was always going to knock us down a few pegs is to blame and not Ukraine.
This doesn’t make a lot of sense to me.
Ukraine or Russia aren’t major trade partners for the UK. And since this is a global economy thing, other countries should surely be hit more.
