Oakwood and Kickapoo Firefighters were immediately called to a house fire in the 21200 block of Denmark Road Tuesday (August 19th) morning. The destroyed house is on the east side of Denmark, well off the road, at the end of a long driveway.
Other departments; including from Lynch, Bismarck, and Westville; were called to assist. Adam Grove from the Oakwood Fire Department said residents were all outside when or right after the fire started, and the investigation into the cause is underway.

AUDIO: No casualties, no injuries here. (And we don’t know what happened or how it started.) Not yet. Investigators are on their way so we can try to get some kind of determination on that. Us and Kickapoo were automatic on the alarm. They arrived on scene and found the very front of the house fully involved.
The alarm is estimated to have been received sometime around 11 AM.
