NPL Victoria leaders Avondale FC will host Brisbane City FC as both sides look to make the Semi Finals of the Hahn Australia Cup for the first time in their history.
Australian Championship foundation club Avondale will go into the match as favourites. They have been in red-hot form in the league, coming into this game after smashing South Melbourne 5-0. Avoiding defeat against Green Gully on the final day of the season will see them crowned premiers.
They defeated NSW side APIA Leichhardt 3-1 to reach this stage of the competition, following their Round of 32 victory over Stirling Lions.
Manyluak Aguek – who scored twice against Stirling, and once against APIA – will be one of the danger men for Avondale as they prepare for what could be a massive week for the club.

Brisbane City are preparing for their first-ever Hahn Australia Cup Quarter Final on the back of their nail-biting victory against Olympic Kingsway after a penalty shootout.
They rested the majority of their starting team in their league fixture on the weekend in order to prepare for the game against Avondale, so should have minimal issues with fatigue from the 120-minute fixture.
City’s league form may have been mixed this season, but they have been highly impressive in knock-out football. They will back themselves to get the job done in a huge night in the club’s recent history.
