Putin Ignores Azerbaijan’s Warning, Destroys Azeri Oil Facility in Ukraine

1. Russia has completely destroyed Azerbaijan’s oil facility in Odessa, disregarding Aliyev’s warnings following prior strike.

   Aliyev had warned that if Russia strikes Azeri depots again, they will ‘consider’ arming Ukraine (so far they’ve only sent humanitarian aid, at least formally — the reality may be different).

   A reminder that Azerbaijan detained, beat up, and publicly paraded random Russian citizens, all done in front of the cameras, in response to Russia cracking down on Azeri mafia.

2. This strike came in retaliation of Ukraine blowing up a pumping station on the Drujba oil pipeline a day or few earlier. Nothing more, nothing less.

   Anything Azerbaijan related had nothing to do with any of this, despite the article’s insinuations. This is simply a continuation of the infrastructure war that Ukraine initiates, gets retaliated on with far greater consequences, then complains to the rest of the world about how unhinged and “only targets civilian infrastructure” Russia is.

   Anything to shift the focus away from “the current thing”, which in this case are the “peace” negotiations and the very bad situation on the front line.

3. More importantly, it looks like Ukraine deployed the 1st Azov *Corps* to Pokrovsk.

   Yes, first they were a Battalion. Then they were a brigade.

   Then that brigade was *wiped out* in Mariupol.

   Today, they are a Corps with ~30,000 soldiers.

   I think that speaks volumes about the political beliefs of Ukrainians and how this war has aroused the most extreme and hating political ideologies, making them mainstream.

   For some reason, Azov is seen as “elite” in the same way that the SS were seen as “elite”, which wasn’t really true.

   Last time they called in Azov (3rd Assault Brigade) they broke ranks and ran outside Avdiivka.

   In other news, elements of 144th Guards Motor Rifle Division made it to the center of Kupyiansk.

   And Russian Air Assault Paratroopers punched a hole into Konstantynikya.

   Ukraine is stretched way too thin. They are having to deal with one breakthrough after another after another
