This says basically everything we need to know about Reform in Wales:
>Immigration is a key issue for Reform UK supporters, with the party saying it wants to “protect British identity”.
>But Powell said safeguarding Welsh culture was not a priority, and that immigration was not a problem in Welsh-language strongholds such as the Llŷn Peninsula in Gwynedd.
Making Wales England Again
Reform don’t care about Wales in any sense other than propping up numbers so their corrupt, inept little club can profit off the backs of the people they con into voting for them?
I am shocked! Shocked and outraged.
Well, actually not that shocked.
I don’t understand how people can vote for them. It would be such a slam dunk in Wales if they just said “we will promote Welsh culture” they don’t have to do it just say it. But they are too dumb can’t people see they are voting in morons
Reform have never and will never care about Wales. Wales to them is at best an irrelevance not worth their time or attention, at worst property of the English to do with as they please
I suspect this will get downvoted but…
I can easily see the logic in them thinking that having a welsh leader is not important. For better or worse the party, like the Brexit Party and UKIP before it, functions far more like a cult around Farage than it does as a traditional party. The same goes for the movements around Trump and even Corbyn.
As such no one really cares who their group leader will be in the Senedd. In practice that person will have less of a role than the Welsh Conservative group leader does now. Sure the media will refer to them as the Welsh leader, but in practice the role will not be that. So they might as well focus on establishing candidates and building up their ground game.
I for one am deeply curious how the party will perform in Caerphilly in the coming months. Sure they might lead national polls but they are facing an election they should win on polling, but against two parties who have far more power on the ground in the form of Plaid and Labour. Can you win a Welsh election on vibes, or do you need those door knockers and local knowledge?
Beyond that, and as has been said to many downvotes on this sub, Reform are not going to lose many votes for saying protecting the Welsh language in it’s existing heartlands isn’t a priority for them. I suspect such a view has reasonable traction among much of the public when such a priority is stacked against health, education, the economy, or a dozen other things.
Saying that does not make them a Britnat, or English nationalist party. It just puts them where many Welsh people are in terms of the saliency of issues. As someone commented wisely the other day. If you set Reform up as the ‘anti-welsh language party’ vers the rest of them, you might very much lose that bet in the public mind.
The phrase ‘Dic Siôn Dafydd’ springs to mind
They might not think it’s important, but the electorate does. Absolute amateurs.
They make false claims that english culture is being destroyed while Welsh culture actually is being destroyed and they support the destruction.
Perhaps Wales should have a Welsh language party leaders debate, like they have a French language debate in Canadian elections.

Any Welsh person who votes Reform is a traitor.
They are an English party, that want to further subjugate Wales.
Thats what they are saying here.
How anyone can take Farage seriously after the £350million a week statement on the Brexit bus is beyond me lol
Oh Christ. They are so dumb that they didn’t put forward Kevin Edger forward as their chief Welsh moron.
What do you expect? ReformUK wants to wipe Wales out as a political entity
I support Reform, due to their bilingual policy.
“Reform/реформа”
The right choice, for those who want their talking points from Russian aligned weirdos with a grifting boss.
