Prime Minister Yulia Svirydenko discussed with Bulgarian Prime Minister Rosen Zhelyazkov the opening of negotiation clusters on Ukraine’s accession to the European Union.
“Ukraine has fulfilled all technical conditions and is ready to open the first three negotiation clusters with the EU – “Fundamentals,” “Internal Market” and “External Relations.” Already in early September, the EU will have the opportunity to make a decision on opening the first Cluster. This will be an important step in supporting Ukraine towards European integration. We also emphasize: Ukraine and Moldova must move together – and we appreciate that Bulgaria shares this position,” Svirydenko said on Telegram.
According to her, the parties also discussed educational issues, in particular, the fact that teaching the Bulgarian language in Ukraine will continue.
“Every day, the Russians attack the Ukrainian energy system. I am grateful to Bulgaria for its assistance in restoring it, for its support for the diversification of supplies and energy security projects,” Svyrydenko added.
