Probably not nice enough to put in a vase.

  1. Reason number 37 why I don’t like delivery shopping: “flowering broccoli”

  2. They were saying on the news that since we’ve had such a dry year, we’re going to have to get used to some slightly weirder looking veg this year – they especially mentioned broccoli as being one of the hardest hit crops.

  3. This is wonderful. I’d be temped to put it in a vase of water, see if it continues to grow (I suppose you’d have to cut off the dry part of stem).

Did you know broccoli and cauliflour are among the same family of domesticaed plant? They’re basically a type of cabbage!

  4. I had flowering broccoli delivered this week too – it’s pretty much all been eaten now and doesn’t taste any different

  5. It’s fine to eat a and tastes maybe a little more bitter.

    Trust me on this.

  6. I got a broccoli in my tesco delivery last week that was the opposite, all pale and tight. Clearly this one stole all the sunshine.

  7. I’m glad! We must normalise ‘imperfect’ veg in this country. We have been spoilt to our own detriment.

  8. Feel like someone else posted a very similar image within the last few days.

  9. Well TIL. I’d never looked closely enough to realise they were all tiny unopened buds!

  10. Ask for money back, they often refund if you complain

  11. One of the reasons why I NEVER order grocery deliveries…

  12. This picture is making feel like I’m a bottle deep.

  13. What I hate the most about home deliveries is the people picking the food up in the shop.

You make a weekly shop, obviously itq weekly shop given the produce.

They always select food closest to expiry date.

Like… Cheers for the 3 packs of chicken, 1 pack or pork, a lamb and a steak that all go off … Tomorrow or the day after.

Useless idiots. And I did that job myself…

  14. Totally standard in Australia. Just pick em off cuz. No golden ticket trip to any factory I’m afraid.

  15. Online shopping is good for bulky and non-perishable items………..fruit and veg needs to pass eye scrutiny before buying
