Tourist bus attacked in northern Greece; teens suspected

A driver and two passengers sustained cuts and bruises when the tour bus they were traveling in was pelted with rocks on the Egnatia Odos highway in northern Greece, news site Voria reported on Thursday morning.

According to the report, the attack on the bus full of Serbian tourists returning home from a visit to northern Greece took place on Wednesday night. It said the rocks smashed several of the bus’ windows, injuring two passengers and one of the two drivers. The former declined medical attention, while the latter had to have stitches on his lip.

State broadcaster ERT on Thursday morning added that police have made two arrests in connection with the incident. Though details of the suspects’ identities were not immediately made public, authorities reportedly believe the attack was carried out by teenagers.
