As the Princess of Orange, she is the heir to the Dutch throne, a title she has held since her father’s accession in April 2013.Academic focus on deepfakesIronically, Catharina-Amalia’s academic work has touched on the same issue that has affected her. She studied Politics, Psychology, Law and Economics (PPLE) at the University of Amsterdam beginning in 2022. Her bachelor’s thesis, “Beyond Disclosure: Bridging the Gap Between the Artificial Intelligence Act and the Charter of Fundamental Rights with Deepfaked Bodies,” examined the conflict between AI legislation and European fundamental rights.
