I m sure militias will be very usefull against warships
I d argue it coukd krach the economy, but I dont realy think it can collapse more
Maduro realy believed he could pull up a putin on guyana but they ain’t in the same league
Imagine any other nation putting a 50 million dollar hit on another nations leader, and the entire Western world just accepts it. No complaints, no sanctions, no condemnation, just pure acceptance.
The US is actually ridiculous. All they export is violence.
a few years ago when I was much younger and less informed, I thought I didn’t like this guy.
Now, I know everything that’s happened between him and the United States and I cannot bring myself criticise him at all. The United States has bullied Venezuela because he refused to give them cheap oil.
Just like in Cuba, they have sanctioned them into oblivion because they don’t get their way and don’t like left wing LatAm countries that stand up to them.
They even declared some random guy the president of Venezuela and tried to coup him (classic US).
Now they’ve put a bounty on his head. It’s insanity. The US really wants Venezuela to bend the knee.
That’s just posturing. Land based militia can do very little to deter warships without firing missiles at them. And once that happens, it’s war.
And it’d be a war Venezuela can’t win. The US vastly outnumbers Venezuela, has significantly better technology, and Venezuela isn’t exactly the most popular country in South America right now.
Russia and China support Maduro if that gives you any indication what type of leader he is. I know this is reddit and it swings heavy in one way, but even democrats would oppose his Presidency
