Performing on the Reykjavík-based festival’s biggest stage in the Art Museum, the five artists will close out the 26th edition of Airwaves on 8 November. Alternative punk-rap duo Joey Valence & Brae have taken their genre-breaking, era-bending sound from Penn State University dorms to global stages in just a few years and just dropped new record Hyperyouth. Award-winning Icelandic singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist Bríet transforms heartbreak into sultry pop jams while Legendary art-pop collective Retro Stefson are Airwaves veterans. Dirty Hit’s Japanese-Canadian artist Saya Gray creates multifaceted art-pop that defies convention and this year’s self-titled Saya showcases an eclectic mix of sounds and textures that reflect a singular artistic vision. Mexican singer/songwriter and 2022 Best New Artist Latin Grammy winner Silvana Estrada has collaborated with the likes of AURORA, Andrew Bird, Helado Negro, Devendra Banhart and played a killer session for Best Fit two years back

This is the fifth time Best Fit has curated a line-up at the Art Museum, with Kano, Caribou, Future Islands, Beach House, The Internet and Battles taking part over the last 15 years.

The festival has revealed the day splits for the three day event as well as details of new venue addition BIRD. Also announced today are 18 new additions to the line-up, including OneDa, Clara La San and Baby Said from the UK, 54 Ultra and Alex Amen from the US, and CYBER, Flesh Machine, Máni Orrason, Mukka Prince of the City, Sigrún and Ólöf Arnalds from Iceland.
