  1. I know Redditos won’t like this but I’d only accept Ukrainian applications and deny most others.

  2. So basically that number matches the population of Rochdale…
They have imported the volume of Rochdale…
    Sustainable 😩

  3. Applications should skyrocket if illegal routes become impossible. Isn’t this good news? You can apply all you like. Granting is what we should be arguing over.

Massive application numbers mean we need more foreign aid so people don’t want to leave.

  4. Record 111,000 UK asylum applications in past year: because we are trying to clear the backlog over the last few years so we don’t have to house them hotels. Not all these people will be accepted and if we process them we can send them back if they want. High numbers of applications is a good thing it means we are not keeping people in hotels indefinitely.

    >officials are processing more cases than before the general election, meaning that over the long term there may be fewer people in the system needing housing support.

  5. Honest to god you have to wonder where all these people are meant to go. It’s worrying
. I know a large amount will probably be denied but even 50% of this is a substantial increase out of nowhere. Especially if most won’t be working and claiming

  6. Reform are going to win the next election 😶‍🌫️
