Texas State Rep. Ann Johnson clapped back at GOP members amid Wednesday’s redistricting vote.
“If you knew you could win this next election, you wouldn’t be taking this effort to try to steal five seats from elected officials that members of color elected to represent them in Washington D.C.”

  1. We all have to stand up now. We live under an authoritarian government. It’s really happened here in the US. Now we must all oppose it. No one wins this authoritarian game. No one.

  2. A semi-aside: In English, 'Woke' refers to being awake. When you're not awake, you're asleep.

    R now stands for… Rumplestiltskin?

  3. Wow. Well, hallelujah. Someone with some courage and passion. God bless you for calling these power hungry racists out, right to their faces. If they thought their policies were popular, if they governed based on what the majority of people wanted, they wouldn’t need to gerrymander. They’d win based on merits. The reality is the minority is doing everything in their power to rule over the majority, and they’re not even attempting to hide it anymore. They’ve pushed all their chips into the middle of the table so we better all stand up now or our children will be fighting this fight for decades to undo the damage.

  4. I've heard her dig in on several topics and she's quite eloquent and strong worded. I sort of like hearing her talk and it's usually in someone else's defense. Do it lady!!

  5. Thank you Rep. Ann Johnson . Thank you for fighting for what right . Abbott needs to resign. As a Texan it should be up to the people not Greg Abbott to decide who wins this election.
