Polling numbers like this were unheard of under Milliband and Corbyn, it’s something Labour hasn’t been ahead on since 2008 – other pollsters had recently shown Labour ahead on the economy but YouGov is the newest pollster to show it – it’s a consistent trend now.
No party that’s actually about to win an election is behind on this metric, so Labour being ahead on the economy is significant.
The idea that the conservatives are good at running the economy is so rarely challenged.
Their policies are nearly always due to ideology as opposed to economics, hell half of them couldn’t pass economics 101.
About time. The Tories have managed to create a mixture of all the worst economic policies from left and right for the past 5+ years.
From austerity and siphoning money away from welfare, police, NHS and other public services. To blatant corporate corruption, regulatory favours to Tory donors, government contracts to friends (who then fail to deliver).
To overspending on stupid vanity projects like that bloody mound of dirt in Marble Arch.
They are completely fucking incompetent at the one thing they’re meant to be good at. We’re gonna come out of their leadership with millions in poverty, and simultaneously a massive debt.

There won’t be an economy left by the time Labour get a chance of an election win.
On the basis of the current government simply not doing anything at all would manage the economy better. I.e. their management has had a negative effect.

Interesting considering that over 3/4 of Labour MP’s can’t perform [basic mental arithmetic](https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-19801666).
