  1. Well don’t leave us hanging, what’s up with jacket spuds?

  2. There used to be a man next to Wilkinson’s in Abergavenny when I was a teenager who had an old Victorian furnace that he would make the best jacket potatoes in. Used to have curry and cheese with mine. It was so good.

  3. Actually, I want more of this kinda thing. Fed up of the constant doom mongering

  4. They’re my favourite vegetable that begins with the letter “B”.

    Buh-daters

  5. Ive just eaten breakfast, but now I want a jacket spud with beans cheese and soo much butter.

Fuck you pasta dish I spent ages making last night that I was going to have for lunch… I need to find me a spud van

  6. I don’t watch TV so no idea what BBC news might be reporting here.

But I love a jacket potato!

What’s the context? As in, “the baked potatoes are coming, run!” or….?

  7. The news: we’re not in a recession

Also the news: aren’t jacket potatoes reyt nice?

  8. £5.50 for cheese and beans – are they having a laugh! £9 in London!! Christ.

  9. It’s been repeated on BBC Breakfast just now. It was a feelgood piece about SpudBros from Preston.

  10. Plenty of important news in the world n here we are talking about jacket spuds….
Yet im here for some idk unwind fun stuff muddled in….

Whilst we’re here what’s your topping
Mines cheese n beans but the jackets need cooking all day

  11. Today we’re talking jacket potatoes, you’re stuck on a desert island, you are allowed one topping, which is it to be?

  12. So, I live outside the UK. I exist in the Netherlands. A country whose local tastes skew heavily spud-ward. Yet, jacket potatoes are rare. For a country that heavily invested in cheese and potatoes, there’s almost a complete lack of the joy of a jacket!

Sure, you can get the occasional gepofte aardappel in a restaurant, but outside that none if the people in my orbit eat them.

I’m gonna have one for lunch now. Oh yeah.
