  1. Different government departments marking each other’s homework, what could go wrong.

  2. It is amazing how consistently Labour act against the interests of British people. Every time they choose to dig deeper. Rather than deal with a difficult problem they will always choose an “easy” quick fix, even if that is to the detriment of you and your neighbours. They are a rancid government packed full of self-loathing anti-British marxists and they must be stopped

  3. tell them to start a petition, we will review it once 100k MPs sign it and decide how we want to respond.

  4. Government doubling down on their bad decisions. Pathetic losers

  5. Just remember they are a government of service, unless you’re not a donor of course, then you can get fucked.

  6. They’re acting AGAINST the public, and they know it. Disgusting.

  7. This is the thing they chose to work hard on? NHS crisis? Housing crisis? Jobs crisis? Nah this is where the hard work and dedication will be.

  8. This is a good thing.

Everyone needs to see how instead of doing whatever it takes to deport them or even detain them on secured sites, this government will instead do whatever it takes to place these men in all of our communities at our expense, even when numerous women and children have literally been raped and murdered as a direct result of the hotels policy.

The acceptable number of women and children murdered and raped by these men, as far as our government is concerned, is clearly greater than 0.

This is going to be a tipping point for even more people, where it finally clicks and they realise how against us our government is.

  9. saw someone commented earlier the gov will not get out of this nicely, if they appeal it would be worst, and woola, now they are appealing, their votes is fked even more , they might think this way they can stop other councils following it, but in truth, doing this will turn the public vote against them, ppl will see that its not the council that wronging them, but instead its the gov. . .

  10. This is inevitably going to escalate to something regrettable. They are playing with fire.

Such staggering incompetence and failures in joined up thinking with everything these shower of charlatans do.

  11. Clown world. They fight tooth and nail for asylum seekers or criminals while doing everything they can to fuck over and erode the rights and opportunity of ordinary British people.

No matter which set of idiots you elect you get the same result

  12. They really don’t want this to snowball into locals acting uppity and thinking they have more rights to their safety than private owners have to their wealth transfer centres

  13. Just add this to the list of how to make reform voters.

  14. So this is the government going directly against its people and the local authority who are representing their people.

This is absurd, the times we live in where this is acceptable and we will have people defend this. The useful idiots of course.

Anyone who defends this no matter your cause is an absolute moron. Government actively working against its peoples wishes.

  15. An alternative needs to be in place before every council just closes the hotels. The government needs time, that’s why they are appealing.

  16. How can they say they want to shut down the hotels by 2029 when we are nearly in 2026 and just want to reopen the one that was lawfully closed. Labour literally don’t want this to end. Put them in a camp give the bare minimum and they’ll either leave or just sit there and won’t cost us as much.

  17. They are literally daft! Im sure most people do not want these people but at a minimum should not be put up in hotels! Its a joke

  18. Just how much taxpayers money are they wasting? Scandalous.

  19. It really is time we stoped calling them ‘The Government’ and started calling them ‘The Administration’. That way they might get the idea of their remit:

To *administer* on behalf of the people and for the peoples wishes.

And not to use the position for self betterment and calling the shots.

  20. I don’t understand how this improves the situation one iota in the real world. It just moves the problem. It doesn’t solve it.

The government are already planning on moving all migrants out of hotels before the end of the current term and both hotel use and the associated costs to house migrants are down, and look to continue to go down moving forwards.

All this effectively does is pull resources away from sorting out the underlying issues into dealing with whatever the hell this is.

  21. Online Safety Act. Hated by the British people. Petition ignored. Taking endless migrants, legal and illegal. Hated by the British people. Concerns ignored and labelled racist. The government works for the people yet seems to ignore them regardless. Who are they actually serving?

  22. It’s because the alternative will be spending money and building processing centres and housing. You know, actually investing in the country to improve things. And no government since thatcher has actually wanted to invest in the country.

  23. They are only against you if your view is that refugees are a threat to British citizens. I dont think they are. Im more worried about far right thugs with a history of domestic violence threatening to burn down public property. But thats just me.

  24. Being interesting to see the legal opinion on the basis for appeal, there has to be some reason beyond ‘it didn’t go the way we wanted’.

Be really interesting if they rely on ECHR.
