Course we do. So we can be taxed that little bit extra
The misery keeps us going
must be the flat 7up
The nuclear fallout from eastern Europe will hit us last.
Its the thing about our health system that gets no credit. All the health service headlines are about queues in A&E, but they set out a plan about 20 years ago to concentrate on increasing survival rates from the main killers, and they have been massively successful at it. We have some of the highest survival rates from the main health killers in Europe. The HSE doesn’t get any credit for it, because people (rightfully, in a way) concentrate on the awfulness of having to spend 20 hours on a seat waiting to get your broken bone seen too, but when it comes to the serious stuff we have an excellent health service – that’s the life expectancy boost.
But but how is that possible with our tHirD wORlD health system?
I’ve always been surprised by this considering our health care system is a complete kip in comparison to other euro countries and aren’t we the second most obese country in EU.
Thanks the EU 🙂
As a nurse, i regularly see able bodied 90-98year olds. It’s crazy, i had a 95year old patient who didn’t walk with any assistance or walking aid. We’re great!!
It’s because we can’t afford to die any more than we can afford to live, so we’ll have to keep going.
Did we surpass Spain?
To pay off all the money we owe
Yeah, come back to me in June 2103.
Is this a blip because of our relatively low COVID deaths?
More time to complain on Reddit!
Maybe they like the misery?
True, I do expect more in life and get fuck all.
Well, that was unexpected
This is nice. I would love to know how many of the over 70s in the country had access to the street drugs available today.
I’m guessing that’s gonna change with the obesity rates soaring?
And the number one reason for longevity in Ireland is: refusing to die, ya bastard!
Feck off lmaooo
Idk we’re pretty bad in the obesity category aswell as there’s still alot of smokers. I was expecting Italy to be the healthiest country in the EU.
Wait … what
Only on r/ireland will anyone complain about having the highest life expectancy for on their continent.
So much negativity on here
Have you seen the price of headstones??
It’s the ‘distaste’ of the English that keeps us going.
Paul Reid – Worth every penny!
Just feels that way.
Do you know how expensive it is to die? I can’t afford that crap.
That’s it, I’m emigrating
This spits in the face saying we all have an alcohol problem
