    Whenever Russians talk about the Ukrainians being their “brothers”, only a fool projects the civilized world’s understanding of “brother” onto the Russians’ labeling.

    N.B. This is *nothing* like how Czechs and Slovaks sometimes refer to each other as brothers in only a half-joking manner.

    For those in the civilized world who *still* refuse to get a clue, being the Russians’ “brothers” is nothing but the Russians’ vile dog-whistle for legitimizing abuse and violence on any non-Russian that are immune to external intervention. More than enough Russians believe intrinsically that it’s an intolerable travesty not only when the Ukrainians stand up for themselves against Russian “protection” or “partnership” but also when the same Ukrainians under Russian attack have the *cheek* to call for and accept any help from us “apostate” Westerners.

    Whenever Putin whines about NATO or the “СоІІесtіvе Wеѕt™” ganging up on him and other “peace-loving” Russians, he’s merely regurgitating from the highest perch in the country what Russians in the lower сaѕtеѕ have *also* whined about as built on a self-inflicted victimhood complex and default skepticism over Europeans and the wider Western world.

    The Russians’ infantile and ѕoсiораthiс mentality is that no “brothers” would ever rat each other out or fight each other, so then the Ukrainian victims must be in the wrong for speaking up and therefore “deserving” of how the Russians administer “justice”.

    Only a people that perpetually deludes itself can carry itself unironically over several *centuries* in this way by *choosing to* lock itself on first gear in an intellectual sense. No external force or foreign occupier has compelled the Russians and their ancestors in the ѕwаmрѕ of Мuѕсovу to keep deluding themselves right up to 2025. Instead, *it’s their own dаmnеd fault* but it has come at the high cost of the blood from generations of Ukrainians and other non-Russians.

    This is *not* state-sponsored propaganda talking. This goes to core beliefs akin to religion which are by definition exempt from any sort of self-reflection or critical thinking.
