How do festivals, media, governments not realize the glaring majority of people, particularly festival-aged crowds, support Palestine? Victorious must see that this is social media suicide for them, you can already see it on their instagram page
You’d love it if the next acts up did the same.
What kind of world are we actually living in. The censorship is off the charts
Censorship of those who are opposing genocide and apartheid will go down as a disgrace of the west in the history books. Also to do this on the day that the UN has recognised that Gaza is undergoing a man made famine is just totally tone deaf.
Fair play to them. Great band also
Safe to say there’s not gonna be any big Irish acts looking to be playing that festival next year 🤣🤣🤣
There’s a festival I’ll never go to.
This amplifies the protest if anything, how are they so stupid. Free Palestine
Walloper by name…
> “Although a flag was displayed on stage contrary to our policy, and this was raised with the artist’s crew, the show was not ended at this point, and it was the artist’s decision to stop the song. The decision by the event management to cut the sound and end the performance was only taken after the band used a chant which is widely understood to have a discriminatory context.”
So why won’t they tell us what they apparently said to get the mics cut? Every single person posting about it who attended said it was cut for saying Free Palestine, not a “particular other phrase”. I’d love to know exactly what they’re referring to.
Up the Wallopers, free Palestine
> The decision by the event management to cut the sound and end the performance was only taken after the band used a chant which is widely understood to have a discriminatory context
> To be clear, we respect the right of artists to use their platform to express their views within the inclusive nature of the event and it was not the band’s call to ‘Free Palestine’ which resulted in this outcome
These two statements seem completely contradictory. Which other “discriminatory” chant would they be referring to
Censorship has no place in liberal democracies.
One of the most outspoken, anti Isreal bands on the planet and they didn’t foresee this happening?

Just play your music and then leave
So sad how little freedom there is in Europe. Wonder how much worse it’s going to get with Brussels bringing in the censorship bill.
I saw Brian Moloko of the band placebo being prosecuted for calling the Italian prime minister a racist.
Sad how all these progressive governments are turning on their own people.
It’s fucking insane that being anti genocide is considered controversial.
Victorious festival is owned by Ashley Tabor-King, a Jew. Mystery solved.
In 2017, a majority stake in the festival was sold to Global Entertainment with the hopes that bigger acts may be secured in future.
