Murder of 36-year-old Albanian woman by husband in Greece, three children found on mother’s dead body

The local community of Volos is shocked by the brutal murder of 36-year-old Albanian Marjeta Nakolecinga by her husband on Friday morning.
According to information, shortly before 11:00, the couple’s daughter called the Emergency Response Center asking for help and saying that her father had stabbed her mother in the family’s apartment on Konstanta Street.
Police officers who rushed to the scene found the woman’s lifeless body at the entrance to the building, with injuries to her neck and ribs. Next to her were three children from the family, two girls aged 16 and 6, and a 13-year-old boy. According to their testimonies, the parents had been arguing intensely since morning.
When the 36-year-old decided to leave the house, her husband Panteli Nakoleci followed her, carrying a sharp object that allegedly came from a barbecue set. He caught up with her at the entrance of the building and stabbed her several times. The woman, a mother of four children aged 18, 16, 13 and 6, fell dead just a few meters from the door of her house.
The victim’s husband has a serious criminal and psychiatric past. As it turns out, on June 28, 2025, he was transferred by police officers to the Psychiatric Department of the Volos General Hospital for an involuntary examination, following a suicide attempt. The doctors at the time had decided that he needed hospitalization.
His criminal record is also serious. In November 2024, he was arrested for administrative deportation, while in 2019 he was arrested twice by the police for drug possession. Previously, in 2018, he was sentenced to a year in prison for perjury, while in 2020 he served a four-and-a-half-year prison sentence for participation in a criminal organization and drug trafficking. His criminal activity has been traced back to 2013, when he was arrested for forgery and illegal entry into the country, with the court declaring him an undesirable alien.
