Ukraine is set to mass produce a new cruise [missile](https://inews.co.uk/topic/missile?srsltid=AfmBOoqflNe_rxZuOEKBN8PchPws6JAeDN0wYjMHU07Zic_9dTvo1_Pu&ico=in-line_link) capable of striking targets thousands of miles into Russian territory, including arms depots, oil refineries and other critical infrastructure.
The cruise missile, dubbed “Flamingo”, has a reported range of 3,000km (1,860 miles), according to Ukraine, meaning it could strike anywhere in central Russia, reaching Moscow with ease and even parts of western Siberia.
It was developed in secret locations by Ukraine’s Fire Point defence company, which said the missile was capable of carrying a 1,150kg warhead and was able to land within 14 metres of its intended target.

“By December, we’ll have more of them. And by the end of December or in January-February, mass production should begin,”he added.

In a [social media post on Thursday](https://truthsocial.com/@realDonaldTrump/posts/115067017601499775), the US president said: “It is very hard, if not impossible, to win a war without attacking an invaders [sic] country. It’s like a great team in sports that has a fantastic defense, but is not allowed to play offense.” He added: “Interesting times ahead!!!”

Yes, because Russia is very concerned about the dangers of their “missiles going astray and killing lots of civilians”. And russia wouldn’t want to lose the advantage of killing civilians and striking infrastructure with complete impunity.

How effective would such missile be? Let’s say Ukraine sends, say, 40 of these things on Russia at once. Would this operation be easy for Russians to intercept and shoot down those missiles?

I do not really want UKraine to hit Moscow or do what Russia does–blow up Civilian structures, hospitals and churches. Because that’s evil.
But if Ukraine where to ever do such horrible things, I hope they blow up the iconic Moscow church St Basil’s Cathedral– the one that looks like a Disney castle– where all the tourists take their pictures in front of. I hope it gets blown off the face of the earth.
